Cyber Monday streaming FAQ
What is the best Cyber Monday streaming deal this year?
The award for the best Cyber Monday streaming deal this year has to go to Hulu. Year on year, the service always delivers such an exciting discount on its With-Ads plan that customers can benefit from for a whole 12 months. And while I fully expected to see a repeat of its 2021 and 2022 deal of $1.99 a month, it's brought back its lowest ever price of $0.99 a month, last seen in 2020.
That's right: for a whole 12 months you can pay just $0.99 a month for your Hulu subscription, and watch some of the best TV shows and movies the platform has to offer including The Kardashians, The Handmaid's Tale, Only Murders in the Building, and more. Better still, add Disney Plus for just $2 more and get both streaming services for a whole year for sub $3.
When is Cyber Monday 2023?
Black Friday 2023 fell on November 24, but the deals are continuing into the weekend and Cyber Monday on November 27.
What Cyber Monday streaming deals are live in 2023?
It's fair to say streaming services can be notoriously stingy when it comes to deals - especially when you consider the removal of free trials... However, with Christmas just around the corner, some of our favorite platforms do decide to feel charitable to our wallets – and Cyber Monday is definitely the time for it.
This year is no different with savings from so many great platforms, with cord cutters FuboTV and Philo leading the charge. You can save a total of $40 across your first two months of FuboTV, while Philo is giving new subscribers 50% off their first month.
For those just after on-demand content, Paramount Plus has also gone live with its terrific deal. Monthly rates start from $1.99 a month for your first three months on its Essential plan. For those who want the more expensive Paramount Plus with Showtime bundle, pay $3.99 a month (down from $11.99 a month) for your first three months.
Of course, there is the aforementioned $0.99 a month Hulu deal, as well as the opportunity to lock in Max for 6 months at $2.99 a month.
You can also currently get Peacock for $1.99 a month for up to 12 months, or pay $19.99 for a year upfront, down from $59.99 a year.
What Cyber Monday streaming deals happened last year?
In 2022, there were some exceptional savings across a whole host of the best streaming services. Leading the charge was Hulu and HBO Max, both of which offered massive price slashes of up to 80% on monthly rates. Hulu offered subscribers a rate of just $1.99 a month for a whole 12 months, while HBO Max new and returning customers could pay the same for their first three months.
Showtime introduced a similar Black Friday streaming deal. Customers could pay just $3.99 a month for their first six months. And that's after the platform's usual 30-day free trial period.
US network providers CBS and NBC offered discounts on their respective on-demand services, too. On Paramount Plus you could save 50% on its annual plans, while Peacock TV went down from $4.99 a month to just 99cents.
There were also great deals on Prime Video channels like Shudder, Starz, and Paramount Network.
